Growing up in the harbour town of Walvis Bay, Namibia, Lauren was always curious about different cultures and, as a result, itching to explore the world. After matric, she took the ultimate leap of faith and became an au pair in The Netherlands.

While living with an amazing host family, Lauren travelled across Europe, made friends from every corner of the globe, and created lifelong memories.
