Today we’re featuring Super Au Pair Runiché and her solo trip to the beautiful seaside town of San Sebastián, Spain.
Runiché is a big fan of solo travel and she encourages all Au Pairs to try it at least once!
Even though it seems scary at first, it is SO worth it in the end.
A few reasons she loves solo trips:
You learn a lot about yourself
You get to learn about & explore new places independently
You travel on the budget you have available
You get to focus on what you want to do and see
You can eat wherever you want without having to take a group of people into consideration
On this trip, Runiché ordered her food & drinks in Spanish for the first time! Well done girl!
She LOVED the pintxos and tapas.
Hertravel tip is to order from the pintxos/tapas menu as it works out cheaper than full meals, but it’s just as good! You can order a bigger variety of smaller, snack-sized foods!
FUN FACT: San Sebastián is most famous for its food. It’s renowned for its Basque cuisine and boasts the second most Michelin stars per capita.
