How To Become A CAP Au Pair – The Process Explained

 

We get it – we totally get it.

 

 

You are excited about becoming an Au Pair, and yes, we are beyond excited to assist you in making this dream a reality!

 

First things first: 

 

We are always excited to learn more about our Au Pairs.

 

One of the ladies from the Enquiries Team aka a CAP Mentor will ask you to complete our pre-approval link.

 

This will be your first step into the Sisterhood.

 

We use this link to gather more information about your age, and your motivation to become an Au Pair, and to see if you have the right expectation about the Au Pair program.

 

Once we have worked through your answers, we will send you feedback based on your answers.

 

We will ask questions (that you must answer via email) and give you advice on how to improve your profile so that host families will want YOU as their Au Pair.

 

At this point, we will also send you the information brochures of the Au Pair programs that you qualify for.

 

You must read through the brochures (and the program specification document) as the program costs, visa process and requirements are explained there.  

 

Did You Know: We are working on each au pair’s info individually to send you a personalised feedback email based on your answers from the pre-approval link. 

 

Once you answered the questions and you understand the information on the brochure, you may ask for the application link to get the ball rolling!!

 

We will send you the application link via email and you can register on our database, making you an official CAP Sister!! Whoo-hoo!

 

Once you have registered on our CAP database, you can download the application documents from there, complete them, and re-upload them onto the database.

 

 

You will also have access to our FREE resources and so much more.

 

 

Once all the documents have been uploaded, you can either let us know, or we will contact you, because now it’s time to move forward to the next phase in your journey.

 

You will now be in the very capable hands of our Applications Department. Here, they will extensively work through the documents you upload onto the database.

 

They will give you feedback on how to improve your profile/application even further to give you the best shot at matching with a family fast.

 

They will be by your side until you have been matched with a family abroad.

 

Now, comes the fun (and most stressful) part of the journey.

 

You are now officially matched with a family of your choice, and you are ready for the brand-new adventure – whoo-whoo!

 

 

You are now referred to the Placements Department where the lovely ladies will guide and help you through the visa application process by making sure you are well-prepared and have all the correct documents. They will also help you with your flights.

 

The placements department will do regular check-ins with you during your year (or two) abroad.
