Three Tips To Make Your Host Kids Adore You This Christmas:

As an Au Pair, you are in the privileged position to be part of a host family abroad.
You are treated more like a family member than an employee & therefore you will most likely be spending the Christmas festivities with your host family.
Just think about it:
Instead of the sunny and warm weather of South Africa / Namibia, you will be experiencing how people in the Northern Hemisphere celebrate Christmas.
This is what makes Au Pairing so incredibly special.
For one or two years of your life, you are experiencing a different culture and traditions.
You will create memories that you will carry with you for the rest of your life.
It’s stories you can tell your children when they are all grown up & we promise they will be all ears…
Now, this brings us back to what you can do to make your host kiddies adore you this Christmas!
“Bake the world a better place” – with your host children!

Nothing screams CHRISTMAS like Christmas Cookies!
Since you will probably be knee-deep in the snow this December, put your host kiddies to work in the kitchen!
You could ask your little helpers for assistance cracking some eggs into the bowl, or whisking the batter into deliciousness.
Let your inner child run wild with this fun activity!
With the help of some coloured frosting and glittery toppings, you can turn your cookies into edible Christmas ornaments – with the help of your host kids!
To spice things up, use a shape-cutter to create some Santa or reindeer-shaped deliciousness.
This is a fun activity for children of most ages.
Play dress-up with the kiddies:

Ditch the ugly sweater vest and get them dressed in their reindeer overalls.
Once everyone is dressed up and ready to go, have a photoshoot.
We promise you these pictures will form a massive part of your life.
Watch A Christmas Movie:

This is an oldie, but a goodie!
POP the popcorn, grab a warm blanket and turn on a good ol’ Christmas movie for you and the host kids!
Here’s a short list of some classic holiday movies:
Elf
Home Alone
The Christmas Chronicles
Your host children will enjoy spending time with you, eating popcorn and watching poor Kevin get lost in New York City!

Enjoy the festivities and enjoy making your host children smile!
We appreciate you, Super Au Pair!
