CAP is a member of IAPA, Sisters!
And here’s exactly what it means…
Now, we know that some of you don’t have a clue what IAPA is but hear us out – it’s pretty cool!
IAPA (International Au Pair Association) is like the principal of a school –
They oversee that everyone in the Au Pair industry does what they need to do, and they ensure that everyone follows the rules.
That is exactly what IAPA does.
Let us give you a little background about this incredible movement:
IAPA is a global not-for-profit organisation with over 25 years of history.
They currently have more than 170 member organisations in over 45 countries worldwide.
They ensure that their member organisations meet strict business and ethical standards,
agreeing to abide by the IAPA code of conduct, signifying competence, fair dealing, and high integrity.
IAPA hosts conferences, events, and workshops for the members to get the most updated news.
Therefore, CAP will always be able to provide you with correct and verified information.
You can definitely trust us!
IAPA is not only here for fun and games, no-no!
They are also very dedicated to supporting Au Pair and cultural exchange opportunities for young people, protecting the rights of all Au Pairs and host families, and establishing internationally approved guidelines for au pair exchange programmes.
Trustworthy agencies are members of IAPA and go through a thorough screening and approval process to become members.
We are a proud member of IAPA and strive to keep the industry regulated and safe.
How great it is this?
You have the reassurance that you will be protected by a GLOBAL association and have the local support from CAP.
CAP, who was founded in 2012, officially become an IAPA member in 2021 and it holds numerous benefits for you as an Au Pair as well:
– Thoroughly screened host families
– Clearly defined conditions of your placement in a written agreement– Local support during your stay
– We follow strict IAPA guidelines, as well as those of South Africa & Namibia
– We have more than 10 years of experience in the Au Pair industry
– When you are part of CAP, you are also part of something bigger, yes,
our Sisterhood, but also IAPA. You are protected and safe.
” We are a proud member of IAPA and strive to keep the industry regulated and safe.”
Fun Facts about IAPA:
– IAPA was founded in 1994
– There are currently only three Au Pair agencies in South Africa that are members of IAPA
– IAPA is a founding member of the World Youth Student and Educational Travel Confederation (WYSE)
Wow, that was a mouthful!!
It is SO important that you know what you are letting yourself into, right?
We guess there is just one question left to ask:
