What is an Au Pair?
As an au pair, you’ll be like a big sister or brother – part mentor, part bestie, and 100% awesome! You’ll provide childcare in exchange for free room, board, a monthly stipend (baklava fund secured)

Au Pair Requirements
Ready to jump into an unforgettable adventure? Here’s what you’ll need:
- Be between 18 and 27 years old – the perfect time for adventure and growth!
- Have Grade 12 (or equivalent) – ready to take on the world.
- Have good childcare experience – loving and responsible with children.
- Speak and understand English well – and open to learning Turkish culture.
- Love kids & have a caring personality – bring the positive energy!
- Commit for at least 2 months (ideally 1 full year – trust us, you won’t want to leave!).
- Be in good physical & mental health (non-smokers only).
- Have South African or Namibian citizenship.
- Be unmarried & have no kids of your own – this journey is all about YOU.
- Have a clean criminal record – no drama, no worries.
- Driver’s License? Not required – big win for non-drivers!
Bonus Points:
- First Aid certification.
- Any degrees or diplomas.
- Strong swimmer.
- Musical talents (great with kids!).

Au Pair responsibilities
Your Role in the Adventure!
- School Run Star – take the kids to and from school, activities & playdates.
- Homework Hero – assist with homework & school projects (and help them level up their English too!).
- Morning Motivator – help the kids get ready for their day (dressing, washing, brushing, packing lunches).
- Activity Coordinator – plan fun indoor & outdoor activities, from crafts to games to singalongs.
- Tidy Queen/King – tidy up toys & books, keep play areas neat, do the kids’ laundry & help keep your own space clean.
- Personal Chores? No Problem! – help with light errands or shopping if needed and be part of family life.
- Cultural Ambassador – share your own traditions & culture while embracing Turkish life – make unforgettable memories with your host family!
- Flexible Schedule – expect to work around 55-60 hours/week (including fun time with the kids – yes, going to the beach counts too!).
